From the very beginning, our primary focus has always been to provide compassionate care and engaging experiences, catered to participants of all abilities.
At Ravensfield Respite, we believe that every person, no matter their ability, should have access to incredible hands-on experiences and the chance to live a full and happy life!
The Farm is a part of our community outreach program and the first step towards our long term goal of providing Supported Assisted Living Accommodation options (SIL), Short Term Accommodation (STAS) and community access, backed and approved by NDIS.
- Supported Assisted Living Accommodation options (SIL/ILS)
We can provide a tailored accommodation that suits your needs and fits with our unique offerings, while providing help and support with life skills and daily domestic tasks within your home. Our team of carers are committed to developing meaningful relationships and providing the highest quality support and development.
- Respite - Short Term Accommodation (STA)
Our short term accommodation respite, provides participants with a short break away to recharge,
connect with nature and enjoy the peace of farm life.
- Farm Animal Feeding & Bonding
As part of both respite services and our community outreach, our animals are a wonderful opportunity for
participant to learn and experience new things. Studies have show that interacting with animals can lower
the heart-rate, adding to the sense of calm on our farm.
- Community Access
Our team are focussed on providing quality social access for our participants to build independence, confidence
and to actively integrate into the community. We can develop a plan for activities both on the farm and within the community
A Typical Day at Ravensfield
This itinerary is just a fun example of what a typical experience at our farm may look like, when you come to visit.
10:00AM
ARRIVE AT THE FARM:
Our friendly team will greet you at the gate. Take in your surroundings and meet the team!
10:15AM
FEED THE HORSES:
Make some new friends and get up close and personal. Our horses just LOVE carrots.
10:45AM
MORNING TEA:
To rest and refuel before a big day on the farm.
11:15AM
FOLLOW A FARMER:
Take a walk or a buggy ride around the farm, see the dams, and take in the countryside.
12:00PM
DO A LITTLE DIGGING:
Farm work often means getting our hands a little dirty! Help us plant some trees, and take a visit to the veggie garden.
12:30PM
LUNCH:
Enjoy some farm fresh snacks straight from the garden.

PICK-UP FROM HOME:
One of our skilled staff can meet you at home and transport you to Ravensfield.
10:00AM
ARRIVE AT THE FARM:
Greet the rest of our team, and settle into your comfortable accommodation.
10:30AM
GREET THE ANIMALS:
Make time to visit our horses for breakfast and feed them some carrots.
11:00AM
BUGGY OR A BUSH WALK AROUND THE FARM
Take a bush walk or buggy tour around the farm, see the dam, kangaroos and Aussie wildlife whilst taking in the countryside.
12:00PM
LUNCH TIME:
Enjoy some lunch on the farm in the BBQ area.
1:00PM
HORSE TIME:
Feed, brush and even have a ride on the horses.
Have a photo taken with your favourite animal, and take it home so you can remember your day at Ravensfield Respite.
