Respite - Short Term Accommodation (STA)
Our short term accommodation respite provides participants with a short break away to recharge, connect with nature and enjoy the peace of farm life.

Located on our family farm in rural New South Wales, our picturesque property has been built and modified with you and your family in mind. Here participants can have a shared experience bonding with each other, the animals and us.

Farm Animal Bonding
As part of both respite services and our community outreach, our animals are a wonderful opportunity for participants to learn and experience new things.
Connect with nature
Studies have shown that interacting with animals can lower the heart-rate, adding to the sense of calm on our farm. Take a bush walk or buggy tour around the farm, see the dam, kangaroos and Aussie wildlife whilst taking in the countryside.
Hands-on experiences
Make time to visit our horses for breakfast and feed them some carrots. You can feed, brush and even have a ride on the horses.
Fun on the farm
Farm work often means getting our hands a little dirty! Help us plant some trees, take a visit to the veggie garden, and enjoy some farm fresh snacks.

Visit us at Ravensfield Respite in East Seaham, NSW, or we will come to you! We are wholly committed to working with you and your family, to provide the highest level of care and compassion possible.

Do you have current SIL vacancies?
Currently, the vacancies for our Aberglasslyn SIL houses have been filled. However, if you would like to be considered for future accommodation options, please get in touch with our staff. We do currently have vacancies for Short Term Accommodation (STA) at our Seaham location for both males and females aged 18 years and over.
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
Yes, we are NDIS Service Specialists. Our Supported Assisted Living Accommodation options, Short Term Accommodation, and community access programs are backed and approved by the NDIS.
Can I bring my own furniture for SIL?
Yes, when moving into our homes, you are welcome to bring your own furniture, or we can provide it for you.
Do you offer transport to the farm?
Yes, as part of our tailored offerings, one of our skilled staff members can meet you at your home and provide transport to Ravensfield. Alternatively, we can also come to you and provide services right in your own home.
What kind of activities can I do during a farm stay?
Our team can develop a tailored plan for activities both on the farm and within the community. Farm activities include feeding and bonding with the horses, planting in the veggie garden, enjoying farm-fresh snacks, and taking a buggy ride or bush walk to see local wildlife like kangaroos.
Who can access Ravensfield Respite services?
Our experiences are catered to participants of all abilities. We focus on creating safe, interactive, and inclusive spaces where everyone can feel completely welcome and supported, no matter who you are or where you come from.
